St Louis Family and Kid Activities from September 1 - September 7

St Louis Family and Kid Activities from September 1 - September 7
Want to check out the best web site for families with kids in St Louis! There are so many things to find on this site: Kids Events Around Town, Kids Birthday Party Venues , Travel Tips, Kids Eat Free Restaurants , Daycares and Preschools , Kids With Special Needs, Daily Activity Calendar, Sensory Recipes, Kids In the Kitchen, Area Parks, Travel Tips and more. Here is a sneak peek of the activities for the week and some info from the site. Just go to http://www.kidsinstl.com/for the full list with details.
Home Extension Activities
Did you know that there is a Home Extension Activity on each day of our activity calendar? The Home Extension Activity is a project that you can do with your child at home. Most of these Activities use items that you can find right in your home. We try to align the Activity of the day to one of the calendar events for that same day.
Kids Night Out Calendar
Do you ever need a night out, dinner with the Hubby or just a break, but can not find a sitter? Not a problem, we have just started a great new calendar with ‘Kids Night Out’ venues all over town. What is Kids Night Out? It is when a church, YMCA, Activity Center or some other type of business set-up one night and open their doors to the public for babysitting. These services are usually provided for a fee, but sometimes they are for free.
Restaurant Review
Check out our latest restaurant review of JJ Twigs Pizza and Pub. It was a great family dinning experience and we want to spread the word. Our Favorite Things
Baby Einstein - Baby Mozart - Music Festival - This DVD is nice because it can hold the attention of kids under six months on up to 4 years. This is one of the DVD we use in the car during long trips. The kids like the movie and the music is nice for Mom and Dad to listen to.
Chutes and Ladders - Game night is a very special time for my oldest daughter and her Daddy. She knows that every week on Wednesday night Daddy will get down the games and spend special time just with her. Chutes and Ladders is one of their all time favorites.

I work for DonorsChoose.org, an award-winning nonprofit that connects public school teachers in need of resources with donors via the internet. At DonorsChoose.org, called the “future of philanthropy” by the New York Times, public school teachers describe needs for their classrooms and donors can search projects by area of interest and choose to fund the project(s) he/she finds compelling.

In the fall, DonorsChoose.org holds an annual “Blogger Challenge” – bloggers choose specific projects from our website and challenge their readers to make donations.

Last year we raised $420,000 for needy classrooms via 50 bloggers including Engadget, TechCrunch, LifeHacker and Stephen Colbert.

The classroom projects run the gamut from basic needs like books to salmon hatcheries.
On October 1, we’ll kick off this year’s Blogger Challenge. Engadget and TechCrunch, among many others, are participating. We would be honored to add your blog to the list. I know you have many readers, and your participation could help hundreds or thousands of needy public school students.
If you are interested in participating, I would be happy to share more details with you by email or phone. Your support would be GREATLY appreciated!

Thank you for your consideration,
Kirk
