St Louis Family and Kid Activities from September 8 - September 14
Want to check out the best web site for families with kids in St Louis! There are so many things to find on this site: Kids Events Around Town, Kids Birthday Party Venues , Travel Tips, Kids Eat Free Restaurants , Daycares and Preschools , Kids With Special Needs, Daily Activity Calendar, Sensory Recipes, Kids In the Kitchen, Area Parks, Travel Tips and more. Here is a sneak peek of the activities for the week and some info from the site. Just go to http://www.kidsinstl.com/for the full list with details.
Kid Attractions/Classes & Area Parks
Want to get your child involved in a class, visit a museum or play at a park? Well look no further. We have put together a great list of a variety of classes for kids of all ages. In addition, there is a great list of places to visit and be a ‘tourist in your own town’. Or if you just want to enjoy nature, check out the list of local parks.
Favorite Blogs
We have added some
new blogs that we really liked to our list. Check them out and tell us what you think. If you know of a blog that you would like us to check out, just let us know.
Kids Night Out Calendar
Do you ever need a night out, dinner with the Hubby or just a break, but can not find a sitter? Not a problem, we have just started a great new calendar with ‘Kids Night Out’ venues all over town. What is Kids Night Out? It is when a church, YMCA, Activity Center or some other type of business set-up one night and open their doors to the public for babysitting. These services are usually provided for a fee, but sometimes they are for free.
Our Favorite Things
Melissa and Doug Cutting Food Box - Both my kids play ‘kitchen’ or ‘restaurant’ all the time with these little Velcro food items. The cutting action that is used to separate the Velcro has really helped my little boy with fine motor skills.
Melissa and Doug See & Spell- My oldest has now learned all her letters and we are now working on the sounds. This word board makes learning fun and keeps her interest.
Melissa and Doug Pattern Blocks and Boards- When ever we visit the Science Center my kids always spend a ton of time at the pattern matching table in the play station walk way. When I saw this toy, I knew it would be a hit with the kids.
