St John’s Project
Bedside Crafts with Pediatrics
One thing that we do at fairs, festivals, expos, etc is to give out craft projects made from recycled goods. We have always received positive comments about this program, so we have decided to take it one-step further. With the help of some of our friends at St. John’s Mercy, we have set up a bedside crafts community service program. This program is entirely volunteer and kidsinstl.com supplies all the materials. At least once a week, we visit the pediatrics floor to make some fun projects with the kids. We have had such a positive response from the kids we would like to set up more visits, but we need more volunteers. If volunteering with the pediatrics is something you would like to do, please drop us an e-mail at kidsinstl@yahoo.com and we can give you more information about the screening process.
Earth Day
We want to shine the spotlight on the Earth Day Festival at Forest Park . We hosted a table there today and had a blast. Not only were we able to sign up some new members but we were able to meet many current members. Watch in future newsletter for the next festival we will be attending.
